The suffering in my life continued but in a different way. I can clearly remember the conversations I used to have with God during my daily walks in a quiet place that was about half an hour from my home in Missouri. The memory of those walks has a very special place in my heart. Even as I’m writing this, I can still see myself taking those walks. The beauty of it is that I was never walking alone. God was walking hand in hand with me, teaching me and calling me unto the road less taken. My place of solitude was so beautiful, full of trees and walkways. It was so quiet and peaceful. It’s amazing to me now how God allowed loneliness in my life so that I could feel the need to seek Him. His presence was the only force that kept me going. I wouldn’t have made it without His watchful eye over my life.
