A moment of stillness (27).

Never lose hope.

Even if he kills me, I will hope in him. I will still defend my ways before him. Job 13:15

Life brings with it wonderful joys but also moments of deep despair. I believe the book of Job is in the Bible for us to be able to cling to hope when it all seems lost. God knows how deep we can feel because He created emotions. I’ve known some piercing hurts in my own life, and I am sure you did also. Job most certainly has. Sometimes, our pain is a result of our mistake but other times we feel that our suffering is unjust. So was the case of Job. He knew he strived to walk a blameless life before God and wanted to defend his cause. His pain was so much greater than we will ever experience and he vented his disappointment with life but He never lost hope. He was willing to lose the very thing he had left- his life, if God wanted to take it. Job truly trusted God despite everything. We would do well to learn from his example.
