A moment of stillness (84).

When peace doesn’t come.

We hoped for peace, but there was nothing good; for a time of healing, but there was only terror. Jeremiah 8:15

The prophet Jeremiah was called to prophesy against a nation that refused to repent. There are also times in our lives when we hope for peace and healing but we encounter just the opposite. Confusion, disaster, and turmoil. It is true that the enemy fights against us but sometimes, we are responsible for our misery. When our obedience is not sincere, we will not obtain clarity and breakthrough. In the Bible, we can clearly see how God allowed disaster because of disobedience. On the other hand, when we humbly repent before God and change our ways- He brings peace and healing into our lives.
