A word to America.

I have abandoned my house; I have deserted my inheritance. I have handed the love of my life over to her enemies. Jeremiah 12:7

I can’t imagine what God must’ve felt when He had to abandon His nation because of their flagrant disobedience. Because God is just, He knew discipline was necessary- it is true love. Yet, God also knew His own Son will be abandoned on the cross because man cannot save himself. We deserved to be abandoned for eternity because we couldn’t help but always miss the mark, but God went all the way to show His love for us. God’s heart is aching for America, the country that once bore His Name with honor. What will happen to His people if they do not turn from their ways? God gave everything He held most dear. Will we give up anything that breaks His heart?
