A moment of stillness (99).

It’s not the way it seems.

As grieving, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet enriching many; as having nothing, yet possessing everything. 2 Corinthians 6:10

The spiritual realm is so different than the earthly one. Our mentality is so different than God’s and we do not have to live in the hopelessness of what we see with our mortal eyes. The sorrow of life makes the anticipated joy worthwhile. Pain can also be used by God to shape our character in a deeper way. Though this life is so marked by grief, we can rejoice in the hope of eternity- knowing that our trials prepare us for the future glory in heaven. The world looks at material possessions in order to measure wealth but we are truly rich if our names are written in the Book of Life. We are not called to impose ourselves by promoting ourselves externally because we find our worth in God and in the qualities He works in us. You don’t have to necessarily give someone physical things to make them happy, you can actually enrich them by pointing them towards Christ. In Him, we can rejoice always because in Him we have everything we need!

This life is temporary. It is in eternity with Jesus that we will know true wonders, riches, LOVE, and so much more 🙂
