The immeasurable power of faith.

Resurrection can be your daily reality.

When Easter celebration is over and everyone goes back to everyday life, it’s important to realize that the miracle of resurrection is never over. God is working resurrection in our spirits every day, and as long as we trust that He had resurrected Christ in order that we might walk in the same power that resurrected Him, we can experience it on a daily basis. This is not something that we have to pray or even strive for, it’s something that is at work in our lives now if we choose to believe what His Word says.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. Ephesians 1:17-21 (ESV)

Our focus is not on praying in order to walk in this power but praying that we might receive the revelation of this power. This immeasurable greatness of His power can start to flow through us when we believe. When we take God’s Word just like it is and allow It to shape our reality, we step into His reality for us. So often we read the Bible without realizing that because we have been born again, the words of the New Testament describe who we are in the spirit because Christ’s Spirit dwells in us.

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

We are incapable to step into this power in our own strength but faith empowers us to allow it to work in our lives. This verse isn’t saying that our bodies will one day be resurrected (though they will) but it is talking about the resurrection that is taking place in our spirit because the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us! We are no longer confined to our own fleshly strength because we live in a mortal body, but can walk in the power of His resurrection because His Spirit dwells in us. This means we can experience new life moment by moment in our daily existence because we choose to walk based on what the Word says and not based on our earthly reality. Will you believe?
