God births and fulfills His dreams for us.

Has God showed you a dream He has for your life? I carry a few dreams that God entrusted me with. Carrying a dream that God birthed inside of you can be hard because its conception happens a long time before its fulfillment. It will often feel heavy, like an extra load upon your shoulders.

Oftentimes, we try to manipulate circumstances in order to make things happen quicker but nothing compares to waiting for God’s timing. When God makes His dreams for us come true there is a favor upon the circumstances of our lives- something we cannot imitate as humans, no matter how much we try. Let’s not be like Sarah, who pushed Abraham into Hagar’s arms in order to “help” God bring to pass the promise He made to her.

Though we are called to labor alongside the Holy Spirit and to do our part, we need to remain completely dependent upon God’s leading. This is not easy because it requires great humility but it is more than worth it!

When Mary was found to be pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit, she felt alone and misunderstood. In the same way, God overshadows those who live in intimate connection with His Spirit. You might feel so different from those around you that they might even be offended by the dream growing inside of you.

Don’t lose heart! Even though God’s dreams always surpass anything we could ever dream ourselves, they always come true if we trust Him. At the right time, if we remain obedient, God will fulfill the dreams He entrusted us with!
