Step upon the powers of darkness in your life!

”Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.“

As crazy as it sounds, I used to think that I am to accept everything that comes my way as being the will of God for my life. Writing this makes me realize how skewed this way of thinking is but you might be finding yourself in some varying degree of this mindset.

We are not to accept all things as being God’s will for us and are called to live a warfare kind of existence. In the spirit, there is a battle going on constantly, whether we believe it or not. When I started taking a stand against the enemy by exercising the authority God had given me, I began to understand that the biggest mistake I could make is to passively accept everything that comes my way.

We have been given the authority to step on, to trample, and to crush all the power of the enemy and we must make use of this power by rebuking darkness in the Name of Jesus, praying against it, and declaring what the Word of God says regarding the situation we find ourselves in.

This verse says that nothing can harm us but we need to believe that! The only authority satan has over our lives is that which we hand over to him by disobeying God. Sin and rebellion are an open door for the enemy to exercise his authority over our lives. When we repent and renounce the evil in our lives- no longer taking part of it- we can defeat every bit of evil that is coming against us. Don’t let satan rule your life when you can take authority over him!
