I love this passage from my book and I wanted to share it with you!

Our lives are a lot like the life of Esther. In a world that tries to strip us of our God-given identity, we are called to stay true to who we are in Christ. Just like Esther did not allow the luxuries of the palace she lived in to keep her heart from aching for the safety of the Jews, let us not allow the allurements of the world to keep us from seeking the things that weigh heavy on the heart of God. We are to use our spheres of influence to bring about God’s purposes to the people around us but we are to do so with humility.
