The honest truth.

This disaster happened because the people of Israel sinned against the Lord their God who had brought them out of the land of Egypt from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt and because they worshiped other gods. 2 Kings 17:7

God allowed His people to be taken into exile because they sinned against Him by worshipping other gods. In our time, the gods we worship come in all shapes and sizes, from our appearance, to our phones, to our selfish ambitions. God brought us out of the darkness of this world just like He brought the Israelites out of Egypt but we are so prone to wander astray. He sometimes allows disaster into our lives in order to cause us to see the reality of our disobedience so we can repent of our ways. It is possible that the current worldwide disaster is a way of God speaking to all of us by bringing us to a complete stop from our running away from Him. Let us see these times as an opportunity to stop and ponder our ways and to turn back to God. He wants to be our everything.
