A moment of stillness (15).

What fear should do to us.

Jehoshaphat was afraid, and he resolved to seek the Lord. Then he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. 2 Chronicles 20:3

I love this king! When a vast army of multiple people groups came against him, he sought God and called his people to fast. Isn’t it true though that we don’t normally seek God when we’re afraid? We cower, get mad, anything but pray. It amazes me just how much I need to understand this. When afraid, resolve to seek God. We need to tell our souls that. In the middle of the chaotic circumstances, the crushing emotional pain, you name it. Resolve to seek God and better yet, to fast also. Do you have a moment? Think about your fear, name it- and resolve to seek God about it! I better not forget, they had a tremendous victory…
