Don’t forget to stay humble.

But when he became strong, he grew arrogant, and it led to his own destruction. He acted unfaithfully against the Lord his God by going into the Lord’s sanctuary to burn incense on the incense altar. 2 Chronicles 26:16
Uzziah was a king that God made to prosper exceedingly. He sought the Lord up to a time when arrogance took over his heart. This unfortunately happens when we reach a position of great influence and we are not ready for it. He went into the sanctuary to burn incense, which he wasn’t authorised to do because it was a job strictly for the priest. Because of his defiance, leprosy immediately broke out on his forehead. He lived the rest of his life in utter seclusion. You don’t have to be a king to become arrogant, nor a CEO- arrogance is a dangerous plague that attacks the mind of the best of us. We are born with it and it can overtake every aspect of our lives if we don’t battle against it carefully and rid ourselves completely of its decay. We all struggle with not being humble enough, but it’s what we do about it that changes the entire course of our existence. In fact, it is God’s highest pleasure to make us more and more humble each day.
