Pure.

He said to them, “Hear me, Levites. Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your ancestors. Remove everything impure from the holy place.” 2 Chronicles 29:5
King Hezekiah was a wonderful king. His first project was to open the doors of the temple and repair them because the previous king was careless about everything holy. The same call resonates for us today, who with willing hearts desire to truly live for God- get rid of everything that is not pure. So much impurity can lie hidden inside the temple of our hearts. It is a good habit to ask God to give us a clean heart daily. As we approach Him with the desire to be changed, we will often have to do the hard thing in response to what He reveals to us but it is the only way to true purity. There is nothing more freeing and beautiful than having a pure heart before God! He is able to purify us but He asks us to respond to His gentle conviction. What a privilege to let His blood cleanse us!
