A moment of stillness (29).

When this trial is over.

I will see him myself; my eyes will look at him, and not as a stranger. My heart longs within me. Job 19:27

God was not a stranger to Job, though His ways seemed confusing to him. Job found no hope from anyone and he made a resolve- to hope in God alone. Slowly, with each passing day, he was beginning to see the small light at the end of the tunnel. He longed to look upon God again- to experience His joy and goodness. How he longed for it! Somehow he knew that God will be near to him again. The remedy for dispair and bitterness is to know that God is not a stranger in your trial. It’s hard to trust when the heart is bleeding, I know. Take a moment to breathe and to plant a seed of hope on your barren hill: the longing to see God’s hand again. Let’s remember friend that His hand never stopped working!
