Your stronghold is God.

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— whom should I dread? Psalm 27:1

I have had quite a few strongholds in my life. That’s why I can appreciate the power of this verse. God is the stronghold of our lives. Not those thoughts that threaten to bury you alive or the relentless attacks of the enemy. God- He is your stronghold! He is your defensive structure against the enemy. We are not held in the strong grasp of the enemy but are in God’s hand. I don’t know why attacks happen, maybe it’s because your life is too precious, but I do know God wants to protect you. I also know that the very attacks of the enemy can be turned by God into the greatest victories. When you are afraid, remember that He is your light and your salvation and that your life is held strongly by the hand that holds the universe. You are safe.
