Keep calm.

Be silent before the Lord and wait expectantly for him; do not be agitated by one who prospers in his way, by the person who carries out evil plans. Psalm 37:7
The hardest thing is to be silent before an evil person. Psalm 37 is so full of wisdom and it instructs us to not get angry when it seems like the unjust person prospers. I have often wondered why God allows bad people to oppress the good. We don’t always understand but we need to trust that God is just and to wait expectantly for His vindication. This Psalm reminds us that the wicked will not ultimately prosper, the humble will. Nothing refines and tests our character like having to bear injustice patiently. Keep calm today as you take a moment to remember that God will work justice on your behalf. When we keep silent God speaks.
