A moment of stillness (66).

Wait for Him.

I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob. I will wait for him. Isaiah 8:17

In the book of Isaiah, we see God’s great indignation towards sin. We often wonder why God hides his face from us when we cannot see even the slightest sign of His working. It is because of His mercy. He could easily destroy us. I know sin is not a word we hear much anymore but did you know it still breaks the heart of God? The greater problem is not that we fall short of His glory because of sin but our lack of repentance. How can we repent if we don’t acknowledge our sin? When God turns His face away from us because of our sin, may we repent and then wait for Him.
