A moment of stillness (69).

Be willing!

For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said: “You will be delivered by returning and resting; your strength will lie in quiet confidence. But you are not willing.” Isaiah 30:15

It’s so frustrating when you wait for God’s deliverance longer than you anticipated. When the attacks of the enemy continue to target you in a vicious cycle. In those moments it’s so easy to doubt God’s heart towards us. Yet, did you know that it is often us who delay Him? Though God’s plans cannot be thwarted, if we are cooperative, we will be able to more accurately distinguish His workings in our lives. We need to return and rest. Let’s search carefully our ways and see where we have gone astray. Let’s be honest with God and pray sincere prayers. Rest comes through repentance. Quiet confidence is the blessed fruit of being willing to change.
