A moment of stillness (90).

Restoration.

Yet I will certainly bring health and healing to it and will indeed heal them. I will let them experience the abundance of true peace. Jeremiah 33:6

The beautiful thing about God’s discipline is the peaceful outcome of abundant healing. God wants to give us health, but it sometimes comes through the process of purification from our sin. Like the removal of a tumor, sin is often removed from our lives by divine surgery done by the very hand of God. How overwhelming to see God’s desire to ultimately bring health, healing, and peace to His people! We cannot experience these in the midst of our rebellion and that’s precisely why God chastises us. He certainly does bring health and healing to both our bodies and our souls! I know it’s hard to see any good when we experience the blows of pain but somehow He chisels our character this way. Pain, under the direction of God always leads to abundance of true peace.
