We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:19-20 (ESV)

God made Abraham a great promise. He couldn’t have children and was well advanced in age, yet God promised him that he will become a great nation. Abraham trusted God and in time, God made what was impossible a reality! We are to be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Jesus is our eternal promise and we will one day be with Him! Just as Abraham received His promise, so will we because it is impossible for God to lie. Our hope enters into the inner place behind the curtain because we have been given access to God’s presence forever through Jesus, our Great High Priest. In a world tossed and turned every moment, this is a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul! In this life, everything changes, but God’s promises never will. We are given free access into His presence now and one day, we will see Him face to face…!!! Hold on to this blessed hope.
