After the death of Jesus, the curtain from the temple was torn in two. The body of Jesus represents that curtain, which opened for us a new and living way. A single offering was needed for us to receive full access into the presence of God. Jesus has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Sometimes, we feel inadequate to enter the presence of God and we shyly come before Him in our prayers. This chapter encourages us to come confidently and with a true heart in full assurance of faith. How thankful I am for the body of Jesus, which was broken for us once and for all. We will always be received into God’s presence, as long as we cherish Christ’s wounds. Even in our shortcomings, may we always draw near.
