Abiding in faith

God, faith doesn’t come naturally to me. I often base my life on what I can perceive through my five senses when I should make Your Word my foundation by faith. You taught me that faith is not something that comes upon seeing a miracle but the substance of things not seen. You call me to believe before I see because when I have faith in Your Word, I abide in the truest reality. You show me again and again that faith is a battle to be fought because the violent take your kingdom by force. You want me to be aggressive in my faith by not allowing any thought in my mind that doesn’t align with Your Truth. It’s a wild life this life of faith but because Your Spirit lives in me, I choose to believe. How blessed I am when I believe not because of what it looks like in the natural but because of Your supernatural power! Faith is a fruit of the Spirit so it will never be impossible for me to have faith as long as I keep in step with the Spirit. Help me to grow my faith by feeding on Your Word. Make the soil of my heart a place where Your words can grow. I choose to believe what You say because Your Word for me is always good. As I abide in Your Word, I abide in faith.

 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]. 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
