The Holy Spirit is crying out…

A call to pray in the Spirit.

I hear the Lord calling us to truly pray. I know it’s hard for us to understand what prayer really means sometimes because the times we live in keep us focused on anything but prayer. It’s hard for us to even realize how little we pray or to catch the vision of God’s fire for our prayer life. To have a life of prayer means to intertwine praying with living. To pray when you work, when you can’t sleep, and in every available moment as you go about your life. It especially means to take time aside daily for focused prayer.

At first, this kind of life might seem burdensome because we are not accustomed to the habit of continual prayer but the Holy Spirit wants to come alongside us and help us. For those of us who have received the gift of speaking in tongues, we need to use it now more than ever! It is the fire that keeps the altar of our prayers burning. We cannot have a true life of prayer without praying in the Spirit.

For those that have not yet received this gift, pursue it! Pray to God until you receive it! Don’t try to live the Christian life without it. The gift of tongues is available for you and it is for today. It is the catalyst for experiencing true change and living in God’s anointing. Believe and ask and you will receive it!!!

We simply cannot truly pray without it. When we pray in tongues, we pray the will of God and wage spiritual warfare. It enlightens our minds to God’s will and His understanding. It makes us bold. It propels us in ways that praying in our own strength and understanding can never achieve.

Don’t neglect the Holy Spirit! Nurture it in your prayers. Let it consume the altar of your life.
