If you stop for a moment

If you stop for a moment
You will realize that life is not meant to be lived in a hurry
When you slow down enough you will understand
The ache inside for something deeper than the surface
Stimulation, distraction- these are the tools of the times
To keep you from taking the time to listen
And understand
That the purpose of your existence is in losing yourself
Not finding yourself
In letting go
Not holding on
In bowing down to the dust before God
And allowing Him to overtake your existence

He is a God who wants to become your everything
The very will inside your bones
The voice that carries you across new thresholds
Into the great horizon that is prepared for you
Something you can never step into in your own thinking
Admit your lack and allow Him to fill you
Do not follow the voice of your own heart
The whisper of God will lead you away from yourself
He is Holy and His thoughts are higher.

  1. Come Boldly

“Let us approach [God] with a true and sincere heart in unqualified
assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil
conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. ”.Hebrews 10:22 (AMP)

It’s very difficult to enter the Presence of God when our hearts condemn
us, and we know we are not right towards Him. Most times it’s a lack of
truly knowing, or a neglect of constantly remembering the true nature of
God, that keeps us away from Him. When we really know Him, we have an
impenetrable trust and confidence in His goodness and kindness towards
us; and nothing can keep us from drawing close to Him. God’s Word
teaches us things about Him we learn to be true through constant
experience. He is always good, He is always right, and He always has our
best intentions. He never imputes evil or causes temptation, He always
provides a way out, and He makes everything work out for our good
because we love Him and live for His purpose. He always has blessings
waiting for us, His arms are always open for us, and most importantly He
truly loves us with a love that far surpasses any human ability or
comprehension! Nothing hurtful or bad has ever happened to us as a
result of God’s negligence or lack of love. Whether our poor choices or
the devil’s devices brought calamity, we can fully trust in the love of
our God to heal, restore, redeem and make all things new. Remind
yourself of the true nature of God today, and come boldly to His throne
of grace to receive exactly what you need and so much more.

    1. Its good to see that this resonates with you Eileen! It’s something that God has been speaking to me a lot lately & whichever way I turn it seems like the message is always the same- die to self. What a forgotten message in the times we live in!
