You have to wonder sometimes,
How is it that we have trusted our own thinking in so many ways
Instead of looking up and admitting our folly
How many doors have we walked through that lead nowhere
When we tried to do it in our own strength
The voice of the world around you will tell you that you can figure it out
God allowed the situation in such a way that you never could
So you could lean on His understanding
And not yours
The invitation is open,
The door is never shut
Will you come in and ask for help?
He says in His Word to go into your room and close the door behind you
That door is to stay closed only when the two of your are speaking
Before you speak, listen
You might just hear Him speak for once
Do we still believe that God still hears our prayers?
And do we trust that He will bring the answer?
