Reconsecration.

Before him there was no king like him who turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength according to all the law of Moses, and no one like him arose after him. 2 Kings 23:25

Josiah was a different kind of king. Most of the kings in the Old Testament were not loyal to God but there were a few kings that did what was right. God placed a high importance on Josiah because of his actions upon hearing the words of the law. He was devastated because he realised how far the people have strayed. He was so zealous for God that he completely destroyed any last bit of foreign worship. In the same way, we are called to respond to God’s Word in sincere repentance for the areas of our lives that are not according to His will. Are we truly consecrated to God? We cannot keep the law in our strength but Christ is our Law and the only One who is able to fulfill it in us. Let’s be zealous in our obedience and turn from our ways!Take a moment to consecrate yourself afresh today.
