A moment of stillness (10).

He knows me.

“As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will reject you forever.” 1 Chronicles 28:9

This is a very encouraging verse. Isn’t it that we often feel like we are the only ones searching after God, when all the while He has been searching our heart? He knows exactly what we are going through and understands us better than we could ever understand ourselves. He knows if our intentions are pure and promises that He will be found by us if we truly seek Him. David said these words to his son Solomon before he became king because he knew how important it is to be completely devoted to God from experience. Unfortunately, if we utterly abandon God, we are in danger of never finding Him again. May you be still today trusting that God is aware of your pursuit of Him and He will make Himself found by you!
