Our source of comfort.
I—I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear humans who die, or a son of man who is given up like grass? Isaiah 51:12
God is the only one who has power over our lives. No matter what other people do to us, they do not have authority over our lives, God does. When we are hurt by people, God wants us to never forget that we shouldn’t be afraid of them! No matter how powerful people seem, their power is limited. We shouldn’t give them the credit we give God. Also, people cannot truly comfort our souls, no matter how hard they try. Take a moment today to remember that it is God who we need to look to for our comfort. Humans are like the grass- here today, gone tomorrow.
