Ancient paths.

This is what the Lord says: Stand by the roadways and look. Ask about the ancient paths, “Which is the way to what is good?” Then take it and find rest for yourselves. But they protested, “We won’t!” Jeremiah 6:16

There are ancient paths that God wants us to return to. Though they seem outdated to some, they are the real thing. Unfortunately, with the passing of time, most Christians have strayed farther and farther from these paths. To some, they have become invisible because they are completely focused on a whole different road. In this verse, God wanted His people to return to what they knew at first- the authenticity of a real walk with God. It’s the way to what is good, the way to light, truth, and righteousness. God calls us to take a moment to ask ourselves, are we following the right path? Rest is the proof of the authenticity of our Christianity.
