Abiding in truth

Truth is so relative today, God. Your Word tells me that You are Truth but there are so many voices around me claiming they have found it. I know that not everyone who claims to possess the truth actually has it because there are so many versions of it and there is only one Truth. I sense You telling me to pursue the Truth in Your Word but I have to be honest, God- sometimes I just don’t understand. I need the Truth but I need You to guide me in it by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, you told us that You are The Truth and that is so beautiful. I remember how You have guided me in Your truth in the past, making all the lies that screamed at me disappear into nothingness. You came to the earth to show us what Truth looks like but in so many ways we have misunderstood You, Jesus. Our understanding is often so clouded by preconceptions and selfishness but when we know the Real You- we know The Truth. It’s not a matter of logic but a matter of revelation. Reveal Yourself to me! Not the Jesus I created with my own mind and based on my background but the True Jesus. I give You my mind and my heart, please teach me. Confirm Your truth to the deepest places of my being.

Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6 AMP

And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception). John 1:14

Guide me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
For You [and only You] I wait [expectantly] all the day long. Psalm 25:5
